When Stuart Oxley, Managing Director of O&P Construction Services Ltd set his business goals on 2010, he realised that they needed to improve their proactive marketing effort both traditionally and on the internet.

Based near Rotherham in South Yorkshire, UK, O&P Construction has been delivering outstanding commercial and private developments since 1971. With a turnover £5 million of projects per annum, they are recognized by their clients as offering consistently high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.

However reputation and word of mouth referrals alone are not sufficient to generate new business, especially in the public sector where there is an increasing need to demonstrate professionalism, competence and compliance through rigorous tender processes. Hence Stuart chose Nick Cable of iRUN Barnsley to help with a new optimised website, brochure and on line marketing.

Solution

Having agreed a site map, Nick Cable set about constructing a website on the iRUN iCMS platform which would allow easy content management by the client. The appearance of the site was to be clean and professional and needed to communicate their past accomplishments both in succinct text, but with images and a project gallery covering their market sector specialities. These varied between the Health sector projects, Public Buildings such as Town Halls and village halls, to Education projects such as school fit outs, as well developments for Social Housing and Luxury Bespoke Homes.

In addition, there was a need to highlight there in house capability to deliver professional Consultancy Services such as quantity surveying, CDM co-ordination, cost planning & estimating and architectural services.

For any website to achieve high rankings with the search engines, it is imperative that they are updated regularly; the easiest way was to provide a News and Testimonials section to demonstrate their ongoing credibility.

Result

Stuart is very pleased with the website; a new corporate brochure has been commissioned to promote their services. Both the new website and brochure will be launched shortly via an email campaign using the InTouch Customer Relationship and Contact Manager platform to architects and professionals in the construction industry.

Although it is early days, the site is receiving new visitors as proven by the installed Google Analytics tracking software, this will be used to monitor the sites performance and improve it over time.
